Javea Port

Calle Andrés Lambert is a small pedestrian walkway leading down to the sea front. Andrés Lambert was a French artist who came here to live in a villa high on the road to Cap de la Nao, with stunning views of the sea. His nephew now lives there and is also a fine painter. You will often see his work exhibited around Javea.
Many of the popular bars and restaurants are located here. This is an ideal place to sit out in the evening to have a meal or just a relaxing drink in the heat of summer.

Or, perhaps after a busy couple of hours shopping for souvenirs of Javea, this is a fine place to find a welcome drink and some tapas or even a 'Menu del Dia'.

Playa del Pope

An excellent small cove 5 minutes walking distance from the centre of Javea Port. The beach is of very fine peddles with some sand and rocks scattered around. The are plenty of parking areas nearby.
There is also a pathway, leading up from the beach, to Cabo de San Antonio, it is a fairly steep climb and not for the feint hearted. The views from there are stunning!

Bar Tangó is temptingly close for a lunch of very fresh seafood á la plancha, although I often take a small picnic and get drinks from the bar.
If you follow the path to the small wooden bridge, seen in the middle of the photo, you will arrive at another, tiny, secluded beach.
Warning - This area gets very busy in midsummer!
